If a title of yours is rejected, blocked or sent back for changes, the Publish tab shows an appeal form.
Rules, and the reason for each:
- Only the creator of the affected title can appeal.
- A written statement of at least 40 characters — a reviewer needs something to weigh.
- One open appeal per case, and at most two appeals total.
- A 30-day window from the decision, so cases cannot be reopened indefinitely.
The appeal goes to a reviewer who did not make the original decision. An appeal heard by the person being appealed against is a formality, not a review — and catching that person's mistake is the entire purpose.
Outcomes: Upheld (original stands), Reduced (drops to changes-requested), or Overturned — which actually restores the title and clears any strike the case caused. An appeals process that wins on paper and changes nothing is theatre.
You can withdraw a pending appeal at any time.
