### The catalogue
Rows by genre, mood and recency, with a search that understands a sentence — "quiet science fiction"
finds quiet science fiction rather than every title containing the word "science".
Everything in it was published by a creator and passed moderation. There is no licensed third-party
content, so what you are browsing is entirely what this community made.
### Creator channels
Every account has one at /theater/channel/your-handle. It carries your published titles, your
public profile and your subscriber count.
A channel is the unit an audience follows. That is the point of distribution being built in: a film
finished here ships with somewhere to be watched and someone to watch it, rather than being a file
you then have to find an audience for.
### The Festival
A curated, time-boxed selection — a programme rather than an algorithmic row. Entries are chosen by
hand, they run for a fixed window, and the selection is announced rather than gradually appearing.
It exists because an infinite catalogue is a bad place to be discovered. A festival is a small number
of films that someone is prepared to vouch for, which is a completely different proposition for a
first-time viewer and for the creator being shown.
### What gets in
Publishing runs through [two-stage moderation](/help/moderation-stages): safety first, craft second,
kept deliberately separate so a rejection tells you which one it was. A safety rejection is not a
note about your film being slow.
